Eastern Shores International (ESI) began in 1999 with two caring mothers wanting to provide friendly, safe homestay for students and young visitors.
As ESI's popularity has increased due to the quality of customer care that we provide, we have expanded, and now offer many more quality services. Even with this expansion we have maintained the high level of personalized support that our clients have come to expect from us.
Today, the ESI team remains committed to making sure all homestays are successful, safe and enjoyable – and still done with a personal touch – the ESI Way!

Jack and Leanne Nunnink – Owners/ Managers
Jack and Leanne are experienced Homestay hosts, having cared for International students from a variety of countries for 5 years in their own home. They are both also well-travelled individuals, having visited more than 20 countries between them, both for work and recreation.
Jack was born in Holland, and therefore understands the language and cultural problems that many overseas visitors face. He is committed to ensuring that ESI provides a total service that helps overseas students get the best experience from their stay on the Gold Coast. Jack’s previous career was as a Police Officer in Queensland, and he holds qualifications as an Intelligence Analyst, as well as an Associate Diploma in Business.
Leanne was born on the Gold Coast, and has an in-depth understanding of the great variety of special experiences that this wonderful region has to offer to International visitors.
She has owned and managed several businesses, and is adept at qualifying the families that wish to offer Homestay services.

Lucy Winser – Office Manager
Lucy is a current Homestay host who is highly experienced in office systems, accounts, and organizing people.
She also conducts home visits, and liaises with the educational institutions that we help service.

Jenny Rees – Administration Officer
Jenny is a highly experienced office administrator, who also conducts many of the Homestay family visits.
She is also fluent in the Cantonese - one of the most widely spoken Chinese languages
